    08/10-07/15 Team Leader

    Application of comprehensive knowledge of Local and Federal Court Rules, Court Procedures, Internal Controls and Administrative Procedures for Electronic Case Filing; display a functional knowledge of court system applications and properly administers assigned caseload by generating various CM/ECF reports; properly ensure compliance of all court pleadings, orders and related entries by using Case Administration manuals and checklists; displays effective skills in leading a team of employees by providing motivation, clear direction and guidance.
    Timely and accurately perform data quality assurance of case filings and docket entries filed electronically and take appropriate action when necessary (including but not limited to: send deficiency notices, generate Notices of Missing Documents, submit IT Tickets, terminate appropriate deadlines, update and send notices through the BNC and submit CA requests to chambers).
    Encourage cooperation amongst team/ensure work completed; resource for team/others; fairly represents team views; answer case related questions; process Deadlines Report/cases eligible for closing/discharge for CAs on leave; review/docket/link court orders in the correct case to underlying event; process IT tickets; update/take action on case info when necessary; intake count out; prepare bank deposits; assist with on the job training for new Case Administrators;. process case conversions (review for prior discharge upon conversion); prepare/send notices for 341 meetings (for Conversion/Reinstate/Reopened Cases); process cases appealed to USDC; Process court orders striking/restrict public access; quality assure Notices of Withdrawal/enhance docket text
    Provide assistance to the Supervisor in monitoring the work assigned to Case Administrators; provide input to the Operations Supervisor regarding the quality and quantity of work performed by the members of the case administration team; provide guidance and explain work changes to the team in an effective manner.
    Answers questions and provides information to both internal and external customers; responds to the public and court staff in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
    Performs the duties of a Chambers Support Clerk for the City of Detroit Bankruptcy Case; record proceedings using FTR Gold while taking clear and accurate log notes of the proceedings; run and process transcription requests; upload digital audio of hearings to the docket

    6/07-08/10 Case Administrator

    Assigns case numbers and judge to all new petitions; receives and reviews all incoming documents; routes all documents filed with the court to the proper office; issues summons and writs of garnishment upon receipt
    Retrieves pending, closed and archived files for inspection by the public and makes copies; monitors proper access to official court records; answers inquires on case status by telephone and correspondence; open, sort and process incoming mail; responsible for the cash register on a weekly basis;
    Ensures the quality of case data by reviewing automated case management reports and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies or process notices;
    Ensures that all automated entries are appropriately linked and takes appropriate action if need be (preparing an order or notifying appropriate court official); editing

    12/01-6/07 Digital Court Recording Technician for Judges’ Chambers

    Digitally recorded using FTR Gold and maintained automated records of the court proceedings; typed and maintained automated log notes to complement audio recording; managed logistics of courtroom recording equipment and formatted compact discs for use with recording software; assisted in court trials by marking exhibits; processed requests and arranged for the transcribing for hearing records; managed the duplication of the official audio records as requested ; responsible for selecting dates and processing chapter 13 notices

    Sorted, classified and filed pleadings in case folders; assembled organized, delivered and retrieved case files to/from chambers for scheduled court hearings; retrieved and made copies for court records for Chapter 13 case trustees
